Our Mission
The West Virginia Music Therapy Association seeks to support the needs of board-certified music therapists serving clients in West Virginia as well as music therapists in training.
We do so by providing information on available services and relevant news to interested parties. We also aim to support the profession by connecting individuals for the purposes of networking and membership.

Meet the Board
Abby Dodds, MM, LPMT, MT-BC
Chairperson
Abby is a board-certified music therapist proudly serving patients in both WV and OH. She is experienced in medical music therapy program development and maintains a private practice. Abby enjoys working with adults and young folks experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and life-transition, as well as those navigating new diagnoses such as PTSD, ADD/ADHD, and ASD/PDA. She is grateful to be connected with and supported by such a proactive group of music therapists in WV
Erin Rosen, MMT, MT-BC
Past Chair
Erin Rosen is a Professor of Music Therapy at West Virginia University. Since moving to West Virginia in 2021, Erin has been actively involved in efforts to improve connections between music therapists in the state. She is excited to be serving in this role and supporting the board as it moves forward to get the WVMTA off the ground!
